Communicate your core value proposition in 5-6 words. This is usually the first thing visitors will read and is important for Google quality scores and Adwords. If you need more words to explain your value proposition, use a sub-heading to get into the detail, and use the heading for a summary or teaser. I have attached an example from Stripe.

Bullet out 3 advantages of using your product or service. Think benefits and not features. When Steve Jobs introduced the original iPod, "1000 songs in your pocket" was much better messaging than a "5 GB hard drive". The style you communicate with here should resonate with your brand. I've picked out an example from Mailchimp.

A commonly used strategy is to write out long form content. Here you would mention 3 other pain points, or advantages of using your product or service over a competitor's. Here you may also address objections, questions or concerns. Check out how the Dollar Shave Club would do it.

A Call-To-Action (commonly abbreviated CTA) should be the main objective of your landing page. Would you like your visitors to register for a webinar, or download an ebook? I have found some copy that Shopify has used.

Hi there!

You've reached blarebot.com - a step by step walkthrough of creating a single web page to showcase your product or service, complete with examples and writing prompts for when you get stuck. Before we begin, let's go over some general housekeeping.

There are 4-5 sections in our landing page. One section is optional for long-form content. You may use it as a strategy to further address any objections that your prospect customer may have.

For each section, you will see prompts below the input fields. When stuck, click the example button in the prompt box. I have picked examples from proven businesses such as Stripe, Dollar Shave Club, Shopify and so on.

Without further ado, click the yellow button at the top to begin...

And happy writing!
